Statement on the 2021 Season

In order to remain dedicated to our goals in elevating the drum corps experience and music education in North Carolina, Carolina Gold Drum and Bugle Corps will remain inactive in performance until the 2022 season.

We are in a unique turning point in our organization between changing performance classes and creating more opportunities to assist music programs in our community. At the top of the list of ANY actions made by this group is creating a safe and positive experience for every member that is are involved, especially in the midst of the Covid era. To do it properly would require a level of finances, resources, and relationships that we are still building.

Our staff has worked through multiple scenarios but all agree that using this time to continue improving other parts of the drum corps and CGPA at home is a much more responsible thing to do and will help us step forward more confidently into the 2022 season.
