Will Jung
Brass Staff
Will Jung is in his 10th year teaching and is the current piano instructor and director of bands at Socastee High School in Myrtle Beach, SC. Outside of teaching, he is an active composer, arranger, and marching arts show designer. Will was a NC Teaching Fellow and graduated with distinction with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds a Master's of Music in Music Education at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and is currently pursuing his DMA in Music Education at Boston University. Will continues to study conducting under William Curry, conductor of the Durham Symphony.
His previous positions include director of orchestras and Chinese teacher at Millbrook High School in Raleigh, NC, band instructor in Qingdao, Shandong, China via the DCI China Fellowship, and general music/band director with National Heritage Academies. He recently was a DCI In Step Fellow where he interned with the Concord Blue Devils for the 2024 season.
