Amber Gifford
Secratary

Amber Gifford is joining Carolina Gold after marrying into the marching arts family. Amber attended Appalachian State University where she received a bachelor’s in Middle Grades Education and master’s in Library Science. She brings 19 years of experience as an educator to the organization. Amber has spent the majority of her career teaching middle school. She also has experience teaching high school and most recently is serving as an elementary school librarian. Amber has spent time instructing new teachers and serving as school improvement chair at two different schools. Her involvement with youth and organizational skills has made her an asset to Carolina Gold in serving as board secretary. While she is new to the activity, she has found love in what the drum corps activity and marching arts offers to youth and the opportunities it affords them.

Amber is married to Jon Gifford. Their son, age 13, is a trumpet player and athlete. Their daughters are ages 10 and 5 and very active as athletes as well.
​
Amber is excited to begin her first season of drum corps with Carolina Gold where she can utilize her love for the activity and strengths in education to help the organization grow to new heights.
