Caroline Christian

Treasurer

“Behind every good club is a great treasurer.”

Caroline has worked with many organizations in various roles. First, she was the secretary of the North Carolina section of the American Chemical Society (NC-ACS), a role she held for 4 years. Then, she served a three-year term as chair-elect, chair, and past chair. A role that was made more difficult in 2020 due to COVID. Also, she has served 6 years as an alternate councilor - being called to attend National council meetings when a councilor could not participate. She is also the assistant treasurer for this group. Due to her time with the NC-ACS, she became the treasurer for the annual SERMACS conference held in Durham, NC, in October of 2023. She managed a budget of close to $200,000 for this conference.

She has also been the secretary of the Uproar, a soccer supporter club for the North Carolina Courage, and the treasurer for the Wolfpack Women in Science, an organization at North Carolina State University. She has been the secretary/treasurer for a local political precinct for the past eight years. Caroline is currently a staff senator for the University of Kansas.
